I do not know much about my gran as she was a private person, I only know what has been told to me.

Born in 1909 in Newcastle, Catherine was an only child brough up in childrens homes due to both her parents passing away.

Gran's first husband was unfortuantly killed in the war but they had a daughter togher Shirley. Gran went on to marry Austin O'Hara a tatter by trade.

Gran was hard working and worked well into her 70's she was a very independant women and would not let illness take her independance away.

Gran was a devoted and loving person to every one that she knew.
