Aunt Cathy, you will always hold a special place in my heart! Your smile could light up a room and you made everyone around you happy! I remember spending time with you as a child and always having a wonderful time! Whether it was us having fun at Six Flags Great America, or spending time at your house with my cousins, you were a delight to be around! You had the ability to make everyone laugh and always had a positive attitude, even during hard times. I really appreciated how much you cared and will miss you dearly. My most heartfelt condolences to your family, and may you rest in peace. I love you always!

What can I say Mom? Words just seem so inadequate. I wish I could've done more. I could always count on you to either side with me or just flat out tell me I was being a fool. We had an unbreakable bond.
I will always treasure you're lemon bars, brownies, sloppy joes, lasagna and so many others.

everyday I wait for your good morning text, but it doesn't come everyday I hope my phone rings so I can hear you tell me "turn on QVC quick" but it'll never ring again! I wake up and look on Facebook hoping too see posts from overnight when you were awake, but your page is silent! I've lost my Mom, my best friend and I'm completely lost without you here! I'm not sure how to carry on thru life without you here by my side! I miss you so much Mom and my heart throbs with eternal pain because you are gone! I pray that you, gram and grandpa are looking down upon us and trying to figure out a way for me to accept your untimely departure for us.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of our beloved Cathy.. I have very fond memories of her and how.she made me feel like one of the family from the onset of my entering the Spiering Family. There are so many vestiges of her loving touch in my home. My curtains in the kitchen and in the family room were impeccably made by her great artisan hands. When I look at them now a smile comes to me as I fondly remember her.
Ci mancherai tanto e ti vogliamo tanto bene. Sarai sempre nelle mie preghiere quotidianamente.Che Dio ti abbraccia con misericordia e amore.

It's hard to believe I met Cathy 50 years ago in high school. She was a lot of fun and a little mischievous! I was at her wedding. I can still see her in her wedding dress and her beautiful smile. All the women in her family always look so youthful. I remember when Cathy drove to California in her Volkswagen Beetle with Bruce as a baby. Even though we lost touch over the years, certain friendships never go away. We reconnected on Facebook 5 years ago. We were so excited. It felt like we were back in high school. We talked about our grown kids, grandkids and relationships we put ourselves through! She was so proud of her kids and grandkids. I'm going to miss her daily FB posts of beautiful scenery. Her comments during Chicago Bears football games. I'm blessed to have known her. I have comfort in the fact that I will see her again. We'll have more catching up to do! Rest in peace my friend.

Cathy I will always remember your huge heart. I remember the nights of watching TV and drinking mixed drinks. You creativity, sense of humor and cooking skill were second to none. I will always remember the road trips we took, on the spare of the moment. May you rest in the arms of Jesus. Say hello to Miss Helen for me. And I know its to little to late but thank you for everything you had done for me through ot the years.

Cathy, a sister is a special gift and you were special and more. Always lending a helping hand with your charm and humor, you were never one to complain about anything and no task was too great an effort. Your wit and humor will be long remembered by all and sorely missed at family gatherings. Missing you so much, I love you!

With deepest sympathy,
Love,  Linda and Stan

Aunt Cathy will be sincerely missed by all. I remember how artistic and creative she was. One of the first memories that comes to mind when I think of her is the sewing machines and fabric that I would see in her basement in her home in Elgin and all of the amazing crafts she would make. I will also always remember her keen sense of humor. Sending our deepest condolences and many prayers for her and the family. May you rest in peace. God Bless you always.

With deepest sympathy,
Stefanie, Nathan and Madeleine

Bruce, Julia, Shannon, Brittany and Justin, our hearts are aching for all of you as we say goodbye to Auntie Cathy. I have so many memories of her but one of my favorite is the fact that Chad and I gpt to go on our Honeymoon because of her and Uncle George. She let us borrow the brand new car to go. Ornaments she made for the boys, family get together and just everything about her. She will be missed and we loved her!
