Cecile Lynnette Whitt, 67, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away peacefully Friday, November 24, 2017 at her home.

A native of Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Helena Chauvin. Cecile was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired Medical Coder.

A small private Memorial Service was held at her home.

Surviving is her husband of thirty-one years, John D. Whitt of the home; two daughters, Melissa Garrard of Durham, Shannon Ortega of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jennifer and Samantha Garrard and Piper and Ian Hinely; sisters, Candy Smith, Kathy Pendergrass and Mary Chauvin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 W. College St., Oxford, N.C. 27565.
