Celia Faye Dixon, 61, a resident of 7128 Lester McFarland Road in Oxford, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Person Memorial Hospital.
A native of Person County, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Dixon and Minnie Adelle Gentry Dixon Huff and a member of Sharon Baptist
Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Sharon Baptist Church by Rev. Vernon Wilkerson and Rev. Bob Baynard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are three sisters, Doris D. Russ (Vance) of Kinston, Shirley D. Dean (Sidney) of Pittsboro, Marjorie D. Melton of Oxford, two brothers, Otis J. Dixon (Mildred) and Lawrence E. Dixon (Shelby), both of Oxford, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dixon, Jr. and Step Father, Alfred E. Huff.
Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, 6742 Goshen Road, Oxford, North Carolina 27565.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Sharon Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
