Her Life

Our mother and best friend...

March 2, 2011

Mom went through a lot in her lifetime. She had 3 children (Virginia, Lisa, Yolanda) then separated from their father (Robert). Then she met someone else, "Big" Joe. She gave him a wonderful son and named him after his dad (Joseph). Sorry to say, they separated. Then she met and fell in love with my father, Lionel. My mother gave him 2 daughters, myself and Maria. Again, didn't work out. Lastly, she met, who she believed to be the one! Alejandro Peralta. She was married to him for 29 years and she gave him two children, Alex Jr. and Amanda (RIP little sis).

Although our mother had a rough life, she lived vicariously through her children. She was secretly a best friend to all of us. When asked why she had so many children, she replied, "because my children are my best friends." Yes she was. She shared secrets and laughter with all of us. As we did with her.

Our mother lived a busy life and she did the best she could with everything she had. We miss her dearly and love her. We pray she is with the Lord and has everlasting life. Within her children, she lives on in our hearts. We will forever miss, think of and remember our mom.

Your grandchildren love you and remember you as well. They talk about you all the time, about wonderful memories they made with you. You are up to 26 grandchildren. Names: Michael, Adam, David, Ramona, Savannah, Yesenia, Monica, Wayno, Candy, Ryan, Dolly, Ashley, Mikey, Christy, Heather, Joey, Joseph, Jonathan, Gabby, Jerry, Tony, Adan Jr., Aaron, Andrew, Alex, and last and certainly not least...Jorgy! And don't forget the 8 great grand children: Alyssa and mom's namesake, little, silly girl, Celia, Emily, Darren, Hailey, Mariah, Angelica and baby Adam.

Mom, I hope you are proud of your kids, every single one of us are taking huge measures to learn from your illness, diabetes. We are all making health changes to lose weight and to be healthy as long as we can in your honor! We all love you so much and miss you...I hope my sibling find some comfort in posting their memories of you here.
