Chad Lee Phelps 21, of Amarillo, passed away on December 21, 2013
Funeral services will be 11am  Friday, December 27, 2013 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road, with Elder Larry Laws officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday December 26 at the funeral home. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo are in charge of arrangements.   Chad was born in Amarillo on March 24, 1992 unto Brent and Sonya Spruill Phelps. He was a graduate of Randall High School in Amarillo. At the time of his death Chad was working at Air Tech,  the business that he and his father owned. He took his job very seriously and was known as a hard worker. Chad was also attending Amarillo College majoring in heating and air conditioning technology. Chad touched everyones life he came in contact with and always had a huge smile on his face. He was part of a loving and close knit family who did everything together. He loved spending time with his children, fiance and being with his Mom, he was a true "mama's boy"....If you ever needed anything Chad would always do his best to help you. He was a generous and loving man who brought happiness and laughter to us all with his great sense of humor and playful spirit.    Survivors include his Mother and step father, Sonya and Erik Riggin, and his father, Brent Phelps, all of Amarillo.His Fiancee Skye Powell and his children Brekkon and Emerie all of Amarillo. Two brothers Chase Phelps and Zakary Frank, a sister Akila Phelps, all of Amarillo. Two step brothers Austin and Ryan Riggin and a step sister Courtney Riggin all of Amarillo, His grandparents Barbara and Eddie Spruill and Renda and Gary Phelps all of Amarillo. A nephew Braxton Phelps and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
