Chad was one of four children raised in Sutherlin, OR and graduated from Sutherlin High School. He joined the Army in 1997 until 2001 as an SPC in Communications. He was presented with the Army Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon for time spent in Bosnia and Germany. After his service he moved to Albuquerque, NM where he lived until his passing.
