I met Mr. Charles at the coffee shop at the VA. Each morning when I came to work I would see him at the starbucks. He would greet me, ask about my wife and how my week was going or how the weekend went. I will miss him very much. I brought him coffee when his wheelchair was broken. RIP Charles. Peace to his family and friends.

I first met Charles when the small high schools in the county and Oxford High School merged to become Webb H.S. We were sophomores when this took place. I was from OHS and Charles came from the county. We soon found out that we liked one another a lot. Charles was a member with me on the Webb High School baseball teams that tied for the conference championship with Henderson when we were juniors. We then went on to win the first conference championship by any team at Webb High when we were seniors. Good times. I mourn the loss of a teammate and friend. He was a good person to me and one whose memory I cherish.

Tommie, Dennis, Clarence, Eva, Heather, what a legacy Charles left, a veteran that served his country well, and by doing so left a mark on him, losing his leg, but I'm sure with no regrets. That is a great Honor. Thinking of you all and my sympathy at this difficult time.

My heart is so saddened to lose such a good friend, but is filled with joy to know he is with his Lord & Savior; and most of all-----walking again!!!! Had good times at the VA with him, out in the shed (Charles Corner). A fried bolona sandwich, a double cheeseburger from burger king, and mound candy bars were like a million dollars to him! Rest In Peace Charles---Will see you on the other side!!!!
