It was five years ago yesterday that the world lost one of the most honest and genuine men on the planet. The imprint that Chuck left on my heart is indelible, and his shoes are as close to impossible to fill as there have ever been shoes impossible to fill. I continue to love and miss my husband every day.

Went on a hike this morning to White Tank Mountain Regional Park in memory of my husband. He went hiking there pretty much once a week. Felt like he was hiking with me. One of many, many cherished memories of our life together. I love and miss you always, Carlo.

Butch was a great childhood friend. I was always impressed with his artistic ability. As mentioned by others I was another Butch and we always kidded about that. He is really missed.

Thinking of you Charlie. Whenever the Bailey Home "Boys" get together, you are with us in spirit. We recall with great affection CCBSA (only we know what this means, lol), your creative lyrics to songs, your wit and your love for family and friends. I miss you. Bruce

This day has come once again, and although there is a sadness that fills my heart because you were needed in Heaven long before we were ready to let you go, memories of your smile and laughter chase the sadness away quickly. Over the past few years one memory has stayed with me and is ever a reminder that our Heavenly Father lives and angels do rejoice when we return to Heaven. When you left this earth I received a powerful confirmation that loved ones who had passed before you were singing and welcoming you back with open arms. It is in that confirmation that I am able to find peace. You are loved and missed.

Today as like everyday you are greatly missed. I recently heard "What a wonderful world" and as I really thought about the words I gained an understanding why that was your favorite song. That is how you saw life and the beauty around you, you saw the good in people, and your life is a great example to us all. Today marks the 2nd year that you left this world, we miss you, your wisdom, and of course your laugh. I know that one day we will be reunited, and until then "May God be with you".

Chuck is greatly missed. He left footprints on the hearts of all those whom he came in contact with, he was a man of honesty and integrity who always tried to do the right thing. He loved his family and was proud to call them his. I am grateful for the opportunity I've had in my life to know such a wonderful man, and to have so many treasured memories. I miss your laugh Chucky!

Uncle Chuck was by far one of my most favorite people on this earth. He was hilarious and always fun to be with, but he also had a deep emotional, sensitive side, and I always felt that he really understood the things I was going through. He had a beautiful heart and true love for his family! There is a hole in our hearts without him. I think of him often! I love and miss you dearly, Unc!

When I first met Chuck, I thought he was a politician... people would gravitate to him. Most of the time, Chuck knew someone who knew someone who knew them… it was a small world for him, because he knew just about everyone! Chuck, I will remember the laughs we had at "Scotch Hour".

Chuck was a wonderful and very talented man. Our family was blessed
to have been able to share a part of his life. There is a vacancy in our hearts that can not be filled.

I remember the first time I met my father in law when I went over there on my nervous 2nd date with my husband Chuck. When I walked in the door he said..ahhh! Number 17 chucky! *Ha ha* but that's ok..because this #17 got to know the entire family for many years and loved every minute of it. There's not a day that goes by that I miss Chuck and Anita and the love that they gave me.

My Carlo. I can not quantify how much I love and miss you. There is no measure large enough to express the enormity of the hole left in my life and in my heart since your passing. I cherish every minute that God gave us, and would give everything I had, everything I have, and everything I will have to have you back in this life. You are the most beautiful man I have ever known.

Chuck The Artist

December 6, 2014

My husband was a man of many talents, not the least of which included those of artist.  Chuck could draw, paint, woodwork, and as I found out relatively recently, Chuck could whittle.  This cowboy statue was in our house for several years before I asked Chuck where he had gotten it.  To my absolute surprise, he told me that he'd made it!  While at a family camp with friends Gary & Arlene, Chuck picked up a piece of wood he found while he and Gary were hanging out, and whittled this cowboy out of that piece of wood.

Red Tennies

September 30, 2014

Chuck had quite a collection of athletic footwear (what my family generically refers to as tennies) and was always on the lookout for a new, unusual or colorful pair to add to his collection.  My nephew, Andrew, had seen this pair of tennies and knew they were right up Chuck's alley.  Andrew saved his money to buy these for Chuck for Christmas 2005, which Chuck promptly slipped on and wore proudly and often!

Chuck Did Not Like Blueberries!

May 25, 2014

I have a dessert I make that involves pecan sandies cookies, bananas, a cream cheese/cool whip filling, and is topped off with blueberry pie filling.  Chuck was making a run to the grocery store, and so I asked that he pick up a can of blueberfry pie filling for my dessert I was planning to make.  He returned from Safeway without the pie filling, as he told me that Safeway was out of blueberry pie filling.  I said "Really??...they were out of blueberry pie filling?"  Chuck confirmed again that Safeway was out of blueberry pie filling.  I asked him if he looked in the right aisle at the store, and he assured me that he knew what aisle to look in, and they were out.  I thought to my self, "Well...I suppose it is possible" and decided to use a different topping.  A few days later, somehow blueberries came up in our conversation, and Chuck told me that he hated blueberries!  Then it dawned on me!!  I laughed, and then asked Chuck...."Is that why Safeway was out of blueberry pie filling the other day?"  Chuck responded "Uh, yep".  I don't remember having any blueberry-related foods in the house after that!
