Hey padebo, do you know what day it is today? well that use to be one of your favourite day Christmas eve. this will ring in my head every time it is that time of the year because you would say to me, "Eileen go on my account and get some money to get a straw mat, and carpet for the porch. there is the dry pork and yam, for making your broth." Since Ronnie got married it was a ritual with you. When you were able you would go by mena to do your message with your stick in hand and bag around your neck, walking down the road and there was always one of the young guys in mahaut to assist in bringing it at home for you. Guess what? Ronnie said he still want to keep up the ritual. Well daddy I will miss you because it was two of us there doing our thing and waiting for Ronnie, his wife and mother in law to come eat and enjoy ourselves after midnight mass. Yes there were other people who came in to join us.Surely you will be missed by all of us.

To us you were the most interested and loved father.

Hey Daddy here is one of our memories with you among many. I am always telling that story. The nice thing about you being our father is we always sit and talk about our days spent with you and mammie. There was this time we were out on our sunday outing and there came a man with lots of crayfish in his hand holding on a string from the Layou River. You stopped (the war jeep as it was called at the time, which belonged to father vandanberg) and bought all of his catching and you opened the engine and put the crayfish to cook while we drove to our destination.  As we drove along you stopped to see if they were cooked which they did on one of the stops. We all sat by the roadside wherever it was ready and ate. Ha ha ha ha that was nice. YOU WERE A GREAT FATHER. Thanks for those memories.
