First, I’d like to extend my sincerest gratitude to those that’ve offered their thoughts, prayers, and support to my family during this tumultuous period in our life; your love has meant more to us than you can imagine. Second, I’m obligated to inform you that at 1045 EST on Tuesday, 27 Jan 2015, my father, Col Charles Dowling, will be interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. It’s been said that “to be Irish is to know that, in the end, the world will break your heart,” but, through your continuous displays of love and support, we’re beginning to learn that, though our hearts may be broken, life does not stop and we’ll always find a way to carry on.
