His Life

Mr. Prince was born in Ephesus, Georgia on April 2, 1927, the son of the late Jim and Mae Prince. During World War II he served his country honorably in the United States Army. For his gallantry he received the Army Occupation Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. As a life- long resident of Ephesus Georgia he contributed greatly to the betterment of the community. He was a Charter member of the Ephesus City Council where he served for over 50 years. As an active member of the Ephesus Baptist Church he served on the Deacon Board for many years. His love of music gave him another avenue of service as church song leader. One could not be around Mr. Wayne long without recognizing his quick wit and ready smile. His kindness to all made him a favorite to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by one step-sister, Sylvia ; two step-brothers, Jerry and Zane Kelly; sister-in-law, Carolyn Frost; a host of adoring nieces, nephews; and many special friends whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents he was survived by his beloved wife Marcia Harris prince; treasured daughter, Rosalind Prince, sisters, Thelma Laster and Theo Clegg; and brothers, Hubert, Brewer Lee, J. B., and Rev. Hulette Prince.
