Today is Cheryl's birthday. Rather than post something to Cheryl, which is perfectly OK that people do...I'm coming right to the stories page to share a memory of Cheryl that I'll never forget. The memory is of a stupid teenage prank. You know, dumb things that siblings do. If you knew Cheryl as a teen, then you know she was always up to something! 

Here's my memory:
I was approximately nine years old and Cheryl was approximately fourteen years old. She was babysitting me for the day. She made me walk on the railroad tracks that span the Blackstone River. The very ones that she was forbidden to walk on. My foot got stuck between the railroad ties and Cheryl got it unstuck, but my sneaker fell into the river. She had to explain to Mom and Dad how I came home with one shoe! 

Ahhh...the crazy memories of her! I still have nightmares/flashbacks of that incident, lol...There were no sides to the tracks, and it had missing railroad ties. It still puzzles me that she would walk on it because she was terrified of heights.
