His Life
March 27, 2011

Chris was born in Leicester and moved to Rothley as a child. He had a lifelong interest in cricket, drama and railways. He came out as gay in the 1970s and has supported countless other gay men and lesbians through his work on the Leicester LGBT switchboard and the Leicester Gay Group.

He would often watch cricket at Grace Road in Leicester and would always follow major matches on radio or television.

He has been an active member of the Great Central Way Steam Trust and often volunteered as station master at Rothley Station.

He was also a member of the Falcon Players and the New Quorndon Shakespeare Company and has played a variety of roles as well as having written shows.

He was excellent company and a great friend to many people. He will be sadly missed by his sister Jill, brother-in-law Tony, and nephews Thomas and Simon, and his many many friends. We will all miss you Chris.
