She lived in Görlitz, Germany, most of her youth. She experienced the rigors of the II World War. She obtained the German equivalent of a Master's Degree, specializing in Physical Education (her area of interest was rhythmic gymnastcs); and Home Economics. It was then when she met Gustavo Adolfo Mussenden, a Puerto Rican USA Army soldier. They married in May 01, 1948. They relocated to Puerto Rico, an Island that she loved. She learned Spanish very quickly, adding it to her repertoire of spoken languages. Mrs. Mussenden had two children with her husband. She moved to Gainesville, Florida in September 12, 1979. Mr. Gustavo Adolfo Mussenden died on July 04, 1981.

Mrs. Mussenden loved music. She played the piano, accordion, and loved ballroom dancing. She also loved to be a mother, and was a devout Catholic.
