A friend & co worker lost his wife this past week. There was a wonderful celebration of life for her! Another friend lost her husband a year ago. She remembered him with a kind embrace memorialized on social media. I reflect as both of these are just about the same time of year as you left for paradise.  It has been nine years now... Time has made a different and changing world. As we each salute the lives and times of loved ones lost, my memories of you bring peace and solace. It seems you never really left. Your spirit remains beside me to contemplate life's choices as the future beckons.

Cheers to a wonderful winter season with white snow everywhere. Here is a candle lit in memory of you... Even though we can't share contemplation of this year's Christmas ornament to adorn our tree, there is instead a wonderful memorial plaque for all to see with sentiments by mere sight of it on every pass by, standing in prominence in our community, you always watching over us- There is nothing we can't accomplish when we work together=)

The pink flowers are blooming here in Arizona, just like the day that Chris went to heaven when I was in CA. I so miss her phone calls and emails. How blessed am I that I had the gift of her presence in my life.

Just the other day I was doing something on the computer and ran into a road block and the very person that came to mind was my dear pal Christina ... before I knew it, I was thinking ... "I'll call Chris, she'll know what to do ..." Then it hit me that I'd have to call Heaven, her new home. I miss her. I miss her smile. I miss her funny laugh and sense of humor. I miss knowing one of the best people I've ever had the privilege of having as a friend. We are friends forever and I know she watches over us all. xo

! I The sun was shining warmly. The birds are back and excitedly searching for a meal. The fish are fed & snow has been shoveled out to melt. Puppies ran & a couple SAR & FD things done...Always our favorite time of the year-BRING ON SPRING=)

Thanks to everyone for helping out with the memorial! So many folks are doing so much. Pray for good weather and safe travel for all our friends and family. We have a wonderful venue in the Church on the Mountain and the Community Center but what will make the celebration great are the special folks who are there together=)

Ever since we met Christina (several years ago) we knew she was a fireball with a heart of gold! Fiesty, funny, and honest (sometimes bluntly honest LOL) But we would not trade our memories of her for anything! She would bend over backwards for you and not even think twice about it. Pete you found an angel who had a short time on earth but is watching over you now!

I didn't know Christine for a very long time, but the time I did, I loved her smile, and how happy she and Pete were. I was lucky enough to get to work with Christine on a grant administered though the Sheriff's Dept., We had some great talks, and laughs. Her infections smile and " get r done" attitude will be missed. Sending warm thoughts to Pete.

One time during a SAR team training, one of the vehicles went down a road to nowhere. The road got narower and more angled. The vehicle would have rolled over if it ventured further. The people inside summoned help & who responded?...Well, it was this beautiful angel. She brought out equipment and worked with the team to do what she usually did. Help others with a great attitude, a smile and upbeat whit that brought some levity to the situation. In short order we had everyone back where they needed to be & went on to enjoy the bright day.
