Christine “Pete” Boyd Tillotson, 90, a longtime resident pf Buffalo Junction, Va., passed away quietly in her sleep Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Brian Center Care Facility in Yanceyville.
A native of Granville County she was the daughter of the later Clarence Boyd and Nannie Miller. She was the oldest of 10 children and was a member of Stovall Baptist Church but lived most of her adult life in Clarksville, Va., as a homemaker. The love of her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the Friday night dances with her friends at the Ruritan Club, taking care of her flowers both inside and outside and looking through old photographs albums of friends and family.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem by Rev. Buddy Ritter.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Thompson (John) of Butner, a grandson. Brad Thompson of Butner, granddaughter Brooke Thompson Bossio (James) of Wake Forest and three great grandsons, Lucas , Ben and Knox Bossio , a brother, Jerry W. Boyd (Amy) of Durham and a sister, Liz Overby Price of Hampton, Va.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor from 12:30-2:00 PM.
