ForeverMissed
Large image

This memorial website was created in the memory Chris Mahoney, 49, born on July 31, 1963 and passed away on June 23, 2013. We will remember him forever. The announcement that was in the Lusaka papers is in the Photos section. Since Chris' life and friendship covered the world, this seems like the way to share and celebrate it. Please add photos, stories, etc. I will be adding photos from childhood, as I convert them to digital.

Trying to write something something here is difficult, there are simply too many memories to share. Chris was an amazing man who dedicated his life to helping others, I was lucky to have him as a part of my family. We all miss you Chris and your hard work lives on in the difference you made to so many peoples lives, including mine.

I was privileged to work with Chris -- my program's partnership with ZAMCOM was funded by USAID and overseen by Chris. He was terrific to work with -- a fount of good ideas and always willing to act as a sounding board for new initiatives. More than that, he became a good friend, and I always looked forward to spending time with Chris and Trish on my visits to Lusaka. He was the best.

Sad and shocked to hear of Chris's untimely passing. I have fond memories of Chris as an actor, a collaborator on videos for the Ministry of Education, and as my daughters' drama teacher at The American School, Lusaka. Condolences to his family, and to his many friends.
