His Life

Our Story

January 19, 2015

Chuck and I married on June 30, 1990.  When we married Chuck already had a son C.J. Wilder.  On June 25, 1990 we welcomed into the world our daughter Jennifer Wilder.  Throghout our 24 years of marriage Chuck worked at Maverick Tube.  Upon leaving Maverick he set his sails and moved on to TMK-Ipsco.  During Chuck's life he became involved in numerous community events, the St. Jude Radio and TV cablethons.  St. Jude was a very important part of his life, Relay for Life, the Chili Cookoff and any other event that he was called and ask to do.  The Chuck and Steve show began several years ago and during this time Chuck had the great honor of hosting the Grand Ole Opry 3 different times.  On February 13, 2013 Chuck was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  The minute our community found out they rallied around our family.  The so many friends that Chuck had raised money for him to be able to go to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois.  Chuck accepted God in his life and was Baptized at Lone Oak Baptist Church on March 2, 2013.  We all thought the treatments were working but on September 11, 2014 Chuck lost his battle with Cancer.  Although we grieve for him we know he is in heaven watching down on all of us.
