Claude Junious White, 70. A longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Rex Hospital.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late William Junious and Callie Saunders White. He was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church, retired from Sears in Henderson and owner-operator of White’s Appliance Service. He was a loving father to his two children and Papa to his grandson, Brayden.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are his daughter, Sandra White Watson of Oxford, a son, Randy M. White of Oxford, two brothers, Billy White of Butner and David White of Oxford, a sister, June Compton of Grassy Creek, his companion of thirty years, Debbie Hearin of Oxford and a grandson, Brayden Boone. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Thomas White.
Visitation will be held 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home of his daughter.
"It is hard to believe that Claude has been gone almost a year. I will always remember him as a very hard working man. It amazed me that when he was on oxygen, he still worked. He was quite a character, one who passed away too young. I remember his beautiful eyes and smile. Happy second Christmas in Heaven to you, Claude and happy birthday. You are missed."

I met you and your father at the Motor Inn. I took pictures of all of the "regulars" a couple of years ago. I live in Raleigh and went by Rex to see Claude last week. I always thought he was a very nice man. I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers."
