Clifton Gray Wheeler, 62, of Oxford, NC passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 after a long illness. He was a 1973 graduate of J.F. Webb High School and a graduate of Vance Granville Community College. He was predeceased by his parents, Louise Critcher Wheeler and Harold Gray Wheeler and his sister Deborah Wheeler Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Cecilia Briggs Wheeler, brother in law Staton W. Taylor, uncle Robert Critcher (Carolyn), sister in law, Barbara Burnett (Jim), Linda Sue Briggs, one nephew, Zachary Burnett (Caitlin) and many precious cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service for Cliff will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hester Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:45 pm and at other times at the home. Rev. Jeff Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or memorials can be made to Hester Baptist Church.
