I went to see Uncle C.R. when he was in nursing home in Tyler, Texas. We had a wonderful visit. There was good conversation and I took a lot of pictures that day. We talked about family and Uncle C.R. told me about some of his war experiences. It was a very good day and I will always remember it. Besides my husband and me, Cousin Dathene and her husband were also there. We all really enjoyed being with Uncle C.R. He was a great Uncle and an all around great person. He is missed.

I always enjoyed when Uncle C.R. and family came from Texas to visit and I could play with Chee-Chee. Mama always had squash for Uncle C. R. as she thought that was his favorite. I remember how the family would gather around Aunt Hazel at the piano and sing and it was so beautiful. It was so natural for them and they didn't think anything about it, but it was like nothing I have seen since. Such beautiful memories of the Wright family, and especially Uncle C.R.'s bass voice.

Today Daddy would have been 94 years old, and I remember all the good birthdays we had together. He was the best daddy in the world to me. I can just see him and Tommy, and mother, having a good time and waiting for the rest of the family to join them.

The first time Ryan heard Uncle C.R.,my mom, and the other brothers and sisters singing with Aunt Hazel at the piano he could not believe the beautiful music he was hearing. It was something I had heard all my life, but now I know how amazing it really sounded. i would like to think they are all singing again with grandma and grandpa right there with them. I know they have a big audience listening. I want to hear them all again one day too.

Dad has been gone a year today. We were super close and I still minded him when he told me to do something. I am right where he wanted me to be, being well taken care of. He is happy and pain free now and looking down from heaven and smiling.

Remember Uncle C.R as the tall, good looking man with a deep voice. It was always great to have the family visit and remember the music they could make. Good memories!
