His Life
August 11, 2015

This is the story of my dad. When he was young he joined the RAF, & was in the signals. He stayed in for four years & then decided to come out. He met my mother, & they got married in 1959. Two years later, I came along in 1961, followed by a sibling in 1963 & last, but not least, my youngest sister came along in 1968, on New Year's Day to top it off. The years passed, & unfortunately, mam & dad split up. He came to see us every Sunday & take us for walks &nice cream etc. he did a lot of good things in his life, for example, volunteer work, driving the bus for a day centre which he enjoyed, as he loved driving. He drove public service buses, worked down the mines & also at Allan smelter. He inherited a genetic condition for which there is no cure, but he just got on with it & did'nt let it beat him, that is, until he could'nt drive any more & basically lost his mobility,, so could'nt do anything for him-self, which is why he had carers. He ended up in hospital in September, & never came out. He died in hospital, & that was the worst day of our lives, because we lost a true gentleman & a wonderful father who we miss so much, but will always be in our hearts. RIP dad, till we meet again. Love & miss you.
