Her Later Years

Mother aged gracefully, never looking her age, and with her learned wisdom and love for her friends, family, and her Grandhildren and Great Grandchildren. She always remembered birthdays with cards and letters and special occassions.

He circle of friends always grew over the years, each recognizing her loyalty and strength of character, laughter and joy.

Mother became a Stephen Minister of the United  Methodist Church in 1998 at age seventy-three while living in Texas. She continued her ministerial service at churches, hospitals, nursing homes and led many Bible study classes over the years. The last, at the Aurora United Methodist Church in Aurora, Ohio, for many years.

Middle Years

July 13, 2015

When the five children were still in the nest, both Mother and Father were involved in our parenting and our individual pursuits. Whether our pursuits were music lessons, Brownies, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Summer Camps, Church or Travel, we grew. After we graduated High School and went on to college, family and careers, she was always central in our lives.

Our memories, sometimes shared amongst us all, were many memories of our individual and the unique bonding relationship with Mother. Whatever we did she supported, encouraged and let us fly free to follow our individual pursuits as we grew.  As we left the nest after High School to pursue college, marriage and children, Mother was always involved in our lives.
