I hate eggs

August 17, 2012

Cordell loved to eat.  He would get up first on Saturday mornings and fix breakfast.  I don't like eggs by themselves.  Well one particular Saturday morning Cordell got up with the same routine.  He would bring me breakfast in bed.  On that special day he brought me a cup of tea, just perfect to my taste buds.  Then Cordell brought me a plate full of eggs, I looked down at the plate, those eggs looked horrible.  I said to myself I have to eat this because I didn't want to hurt Cordell's feeling.  He kept coming to the room peeping his little head in asking me how were the eggs.  I would reply, I didn't eat them yet.  So after I prayed and God strengthend me to eat the eggs.  No lie, those were the best eggs I had ever ate in my life.  When Cordell came back to the room I had the plate ready to give to him.  I said boy, that was great.  I told Cordell when he grow up he is going to be an excellent cook.  I miss Cordell's cooking, He would make me the best Shirley Temple's and cup's of tea.  I miss him making egg salad sandwiches and then leave the mess for me to clean up.  Mayo all over the table and counter top.  Now Coree' is following in his footsteps.  Now Coree' wakes up and says, mommy you want a cup of tea, how do you want your eggs.  Coree makes me nervous.  I have to pray some more before I let Coree' go by the stove.  Coree is Mr. Speedy.  I don't want him to burn himself.  But I will let him dare to try before the year is out.  Eat eggs, Cordell loved them.
