Her Life

Biography

December 21, 2013

Mrs. Ebot, Cornelia Tiku-enoh nee Tabi (fondly called “Mami Tiku-enoh”) was born on June 28, 1978 and was the third of six children born to Mr. Willy Tabi and Mrs. Becky Tabi.

Late Cornelia was an alumnus of G.H.S Mamfe and PHS, Besongabang where she obtained her GCE Ordinary/Advanced Levels respectively. She later studied at the University of Yaoundé I and graduated with a Bachelors in Applied Linguistics and Maitrise in Child Psychology in 2003 and 2004 respectively. She later gained admissions to the National Institute of Youth and Sports, Yaoundé (INJS) and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Youth and Action Counseling in 2007.

Over the last several years, she worked as Youth Counselor in different capacities prior to last year's appointment as the Director of the Youth and Animation Center in Limbe, Cameroon.

Her faith in God continued to be unshakable. She was a devout christian and a dedicated member of the Christian Women Fellowship of the PCC. She soon blossomed as a prolific singer, animator and inspirer. In 2011, she visited her family in the United States. Her staged presence and choral talents soon became noticeable during fellowship; teaching new songs during her short stay at various Presbyterian congregations in Massachusetts. With her beautiful smile and charm, she easily connected with everyone.

Indeed, Mami was the very essence of such an extraordinary appeal to talent, compassion, respect, duty, style and kindness. She was a well balanced blend of motherhood and a mother to many. We think of her as a woman who advanced through the years with the sweetness and sincerity of a great success story. We take solace in knowing that she is now in heaven with her savior. We are proud of her accomplishments and will never forget how wonderful a person she was.

She resided in Buea with her family and leaves behind two children; Enow-Ebot Jr, & Becky Tabe Ebot, and an adopted child, Cornelia Tiku-enow Ebot, a husband (Dr. Ebot, Enow-ebot). She is also survived by both parents (Willy/Becky Tabi), brothers, (Stanley, Gerald and Lambert), two sisters (Germaine & Noella), a large extended family, as well as friends and colleagues to mourn her untimely departure.

It’s an irreplacable loss for a life so short on earth and difficult to accept that she's no longer amongst us.  We still believe she never lived up to that fulfillment, but are comforted to know she lived a complete life. She had a wonderful time; she enjoyed and made peace with herself. She loved her family and friends but the Lord Almighty has now called her to service.

Mami, your memory will live in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace with our Lord! Until we meet again.
