This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Craig Redden, 52, born on February 6, 1956 and passed away on November 20, 2008. We will remember him forever.
So here I am in Bangkok.... And already thinking of the day you left this earth..... But your kindness and brotherly love still on my soul Rest in Music pal.
Always a sad day but do enjoy the memories. This Saturday I am off the see the Tran Siberian Orchestra (TSO) in Seattle. Each year I look forward to seeing this great show that you were a huge part in getting it off the ground by providing spectacular lighting. You first described this show to me as , "It's like a rock band playing Christmas music with Pink Floyds light show!" I was hooked. Thinking of you.
In my music room at home, I have many cool pictures of the shows that we (OK you) did. And I remember that I thought our company was heading for the big time as you started booking larger and larger tours. Here is one of Craig's biggest secrets in getting his foot in the door: He was visiting Vancouver and in my office and called some big lighting LD or tour producer and said, "Hello, how are you? Listen, as it happens, on (date) I am going to be in LA, just down the street from you visiting a client. I wanted to stop by and just say a quick hello. OK if I stop by?" The guy would agree, and Craig said, "Great, I will see you then." He then hung up and called Kirby, and said, "Kurby, can you book me a flight on (date) to LA. Then I said, " What the hell just happened, I didn't know you were in LA on (date)?" And he said, "I'm not..... but if the guy knew I was making a special trip just to meet with him, he feel obligated to at least hear my complete sales pitch." But if he thinks I am already there and just "popping in to say hello", it usually works." True story... And although I smile at all of the above, it is always sad on this day.
Here we are again, one of the saddest days I have endured in all my life.
Craig, all we had discussed and we're working on is alive and well here in Asia. I know you are with me and I with you. Your daughter Chelsea has turned into a brilliant and beautiful young woman, and Jude still has you full in your heart.
A day will come when I will meet you again, and that day will remove the sadness I hold each day without you here with us all my friend
I just found this page today. It was 11 years ago today on Nov 30th, 2007 that Craig and I enjoyed a special TSO concert. A year before his passing, almost to the day. Always appreciated your hard work and valued your friendship. Brian Search Craig Redden 1956 - 2008 on YouTube.
You loved us so much .. gave my family so much to remember you by.. we miss you we love you .. your children are beautiful and your wife inspires me everyday ...
Happy Birthday Craig. We are in your Town now. Time goes by, but we never forget you. Your name comes up often :) Rest Peaceful and watch over your family XO
It is difficult to believe that this much time has passed, sadly, time does not stop for no man. I will be honest, You are not replaceable, not ever a person could take your place, such a unique man with such a sense of person about you. You have left beautiful children to hear wonderful stories about you. As you look down and guide them, listen to them, help them carry on when times are difficult, they hear you. I leave this note for you, and I know I can see you smiling. That day will never be forgotten. Rest Peaceful my friend. XO
