Curtis accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Hayes Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He was a member of the graduating class of 1970 from Merritt High School. He attended Wallace Technical School and obtained his certification in Welding. He was last employed by C&W Enterprises in Union Springs, AL. Curtis was a Vietnam Veteran and served honorably in the United States Army for ten years.

He was united in marriage to Annie B. Jackson to which two sons were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carey Tyrone Anthony and Charles Levon Anthony

Curtis leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Cortez Anthony, Atlanta, GA and Demetrice Anthony, Detroit, MI; wife, Mildred, Jamestown, SC; one sister, Diane Penn, Midway, AL; one granddaughter, Iris Annielynn, Detroit, MI; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
