A native of Columbus and the daughter of Roy C. Scott, Sr., and Gracie Robinson Scott, Cynthia was a 1983 graduate of Jordan Vocational High School. She was employed as Director of Housekeeping for Hampton Inn North and attended Rosehill Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Larry Weaver and Eddie Weaver.

Surviving other than her parents are a devoted husband, Andrew Barbee; two daughters, Shondra Rivers(Lorenzo) and Melissa Barbee; a son, James Patton; six grandchildren, Tamia Cobb, Gianna Barbee, Lorenzo Rivers, Jr., Tierra Long, Ganell and Jaida Patton; three brothers, Robert L. Weaver, Walter Weaver and Roy C. Scott, Jr; four sisters, Charlotte Wright, Deborah Scott, Cheryl Cabanilla(David) and Barbara Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
