Cindy's Life

October 11, 2013

Cindy was born in Winnipeg,Mb. on Oct.11,1958. She was the first born to Roderich & Ivy Domin. She had a older sister,Terry, two youger siblings Lisa & Rod. I, as her sister, feel very honored to have had her in my life.
Cindy was a wonderful person who loved to read from a young age. She never outgrew her love for books. She also loved music & singing. She was compassionate & caring always putting others before herself. She had a wonderful out-going personality that made others laugh. She always had a joke to share & make others smile. All who knew her will forever remember her infectous laugh. Everyone who knew her could count on her to always have coffee on & story to share when they dropped by. She brought joy & happiness into so many peoples lives. Her loving caring nature apparent to all who knew her.
Cindy raised three daughters, Shalane, Serenity & Cheyenne. She also endured the pain of losing two sons, David & Arthur. She was very proud of her girls &  her grandchildren. Family was everything to Cindy & she never failed to show it.
Cindy loved to cook & try out new recipes. She enjoyed spending the holidays surrounded family & friends. Family was very important to her.
Cindy endured many struggles throughout her life but always managed to find something positive about everything she went thru.
Cindy was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in May of 2011 at the age of 52. She showed tremendous strength & courage after her diagnosis & throughout her illness. She always maintained a positive attitude right to the end. Always seen with a smile to give comfort to those near her during this difficult time. Just like Cindy, to think of others, even then, before herself.
She married her longtime companion & soulmate,Brian Harris, while in hospital. He remained her constant companion thru it all & was with her vigilently, rarely leaving her side. Providing all his love & support when she needed it most. He gave her great comfort in her final days . Her Mother,Ivy spent countless hours by her side along with other family members. I'm sure it gave us all a sense of helplessness but Cindy never lost her positive attitude. She was a true inspiration to us all.
Sadly Cindy fought a battle that she could not win & after a 3 month fight, God called her home on August 12,2011 @ 7:22 pm. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Riverview Health Center in Winnipeg,Mb.           Cindy made lasting impressions on everyone she met & will always be remembered for the the wonderful, compassionate person she was.
                  RIP til we meet again!
                                                   Forever missed & never forgotten!
