Still seems unreal that it's been over a year since we have talked, since I have seen you, since you have seen my new hair do's, since you have caught me up on all that would have been going on with you. Over a year since we have talked about your children, or my child. Over a year since we did anything together

Daniel, you came into my life over 25 years ago as the younger brother of my best friend Tara. From the moment we met, you made me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. With those sweet blue eyes, Cheshire grin and charm of a prince you could make any girl blush. I will always be grateful for knowing you. I will remember the twinkle in your eyes, that smile that would warm my heart and the wit that would make me giggle. Daniel, you will be missed!

At 8 you became my big brother. At 10 you were my pest who filled my purse with rocks. At 15 you became my friend. We have changed over the years but one thing hasn't, I love you. Keep smiling big brother. We shall meet again.

Only knowing Daniel on a professional basis there was a relationship that made my job worth doing. As a mental health professional the world needs to understand the life that people like Daniel live daily. It is hard for most. Daniel was a fighter who fought until the end. He did not leave this world to hurt those he loved, He just came to the end of his journey in this world that did not understand him. Now he is where he will never be misunderstood again because Daniel got a pass into Heaven. Daniel was an awesome man and no matter what only lived his life to continue his love for those that showed him the same. You will be missed by many Daniel.

Not Just a Job

November 30, 2015

I still remember working with Daniel. He crosses my mind often as I wish I could have done so much more. In life we sometimes get the raw end of the stick but some make it and others don't. I never could feel the pain Daniel was feeling and only wish He would have had another way. Daniel has taught me so much in the short time I knew him and I have since moved on to help more people with hopes and desires to change some of the laws that took Daniels spirit and life from him. God bless you Bro you made a difference in this counselors life.

Sister and Brother photo from Georgia

May 11, 2014

This was taken in Georgia at the apartment complex where we lived. They were having photos taken on location and Daniel said, lets go take pictures, I said NO, I am having a bad hair day! (for those who remember perms)
Of course, he talked me into it...Well, glad I did, and who cares about bad hair or anything else. Take pictures, spend a little extra time, and just know that we are not promised tomorrow.

Love,
Sissy
