Daniel Jerry Weems was born January 15, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Daniel Johnson and Ella Rivera Weems

Daniel Graduated from St. Phillips High School in Chicago, Illinois.  He attended Wyoming University for one year.  He received an A. A. Degree from Loop Junior College 1976. He continued his education at Northwestern University where he received his Bachelors in Criminal Law.  He completed both the BAR and Chicago Police Department Exams.    He was hired and retired by The City of Chicago Police Department.

There is lasting gratitude for his exemplary life, the respectable things he ensured, imparted and the inspiration he entrenched in others.   Dan had a great vocabulary, character and a vivacious smile. One of the highest accolades that could have been paid to Daniel was that he was loved by his fellowman. Truly, this is the sentimentality of all who knew this magnanimous gentleman.

President of Loop Jr. College Student Government, President of the young black democrats and Chairman of the City College’s Student Union, President of Wild Bunch Baseball Team, Served on the Advisory Board for Mayor Jane Byrne, Chief of Security for Alderman Danny K. Davis, Instructor for Security at ACI Institute of Business and Technology, and Chicago Police Officer and Chicago Detective star number 12304 Where he received numerous honorable mentions.

                                                       A Time to Depart

Daniel departed this Life to join his Mother, Father and other siblings, two sisters Celesta Mackey, Paulette Weems and his youngest brother Alvin Weems who departed this life before him on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.

Wonderful Lasting Memories of Daniel Jerry Weems will be cherished by his loving Two Sons, Daniel Jerry Weems Jr. and Daniel Dewun Weems, Two Granddaughters, Mariah Weems and Naisha Weems Three Sisters, Rochelle Weems, Cynthia Weems and Tanya Goodman and Two Brothers, Clyde Weems and Benny Weems

Sister-in-law and a brother in law. A Distinctive Ex-Wife Belinda Weems who loved him sincerely. Along with A host of nieces, nephews and lineages.

   Notice of Address Changes

                            Dear Family & friend 

I want to let you know I’ve moved.  I received a call from

God who informed me that my new home is ready and that

I could move in immediately.  You know that I’ve been sending

up my timber, packing  and getting ready to go, but there were

some final touches.  Well, my new home is finished and it’s such a

beautiful sight.  Behold!  It is located in an exclusive estate, and

it sits behind the “Pearly Gates”   of course, the streets are paved

with gold, and every day is Sunday.  I have lived in many places before

but none can compare.  There is peace, joy and happiness here and

I have no more pain.  There is sweet serenity everywhere.  I could go

on and on about my new home, but I have to get fitted for my new robe.
