Another year to celebrate your birthday and you are not here. 3 little nephews that would love to have you around to play with. Your older brother has found an amazing girl to spend his life with and a connection to Jaimie. You are never far from all our thoughts. This past year, much has changed and brought some anguish. Hoping the year ahead is better for us all. We miss you and love you forever.

Today marks 8 years since we last saw your face. Many things have changed in the world in which we live. However, there is one constant. We miss you. We love you. And you will never be forgotten. You have 3 amazing nephews that I know you would love to be around to play with. They would love that too. Perhaps you would have children of your own. We celebrate your life today and all the joy you brought each and everyone of your family and friends. Love you forever, my son.

6 years have passed since we saw your face or heard your voice. No words can say how much we all love and miss you. All of us including your sister and brothers. Your two nephews would so enjoy to spend time with you. With all the uncertainty in the world today, we know you are watching and protecting us. We think of you each and every day and wonder what if.....

We would be celebrating your 27th birthday today. Time sure flies by. Missing you so much each day. Wishing you could be here. You now have a nephew, Jayce Daniel Sacchetti. You would just love him and would be an amazing uncle to him. I will tell him all about you when he gets older and when it's nice out we will come visit you. I know you are looking down on him and watching over him. He will know why his middle name is Daniel. We love you very much and I think about you every day ❤ miss you my dear brother

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you our hearts.

Patti, my dear sweet friend! My heart continues to hurt for you and your beautiful family. I can't even begin to imagine what this last year has been like for any of you. But one thing I do know is that Daniel was Blessed to have you all as his, even for the short time he was here. As well as you all were Blessed to have him.

You are such an inspiration Patti! The strength you have shown has been amazing. When I think of what the perfect definition for MOTHER would be in the dictionary...they would simply have to put your name and that would explain it all. I love you my dear friend and hope that as time goes by that each day becomes even a tad bit easier.

To the Leblanc Family:
The love you have for your Daniel is so apparent.
I see it in your smiles in the pictures and Patti, when you talk of him
I see the love you have for your Daniel.
And with that love, I also see the pain and the missing him.
Daniel, you are so loved, and will forever be remembered.

Dakota

January 25, 2020
Daniel and Jaime decided they needed a fur baby. Dakota came into their lives at 6 months old in 2012. She was a lab newfoundlander cross so a big girl. But she was Danny's little baby. She was so full of energy and life. She had a couple big injuries after Daniel died. The first was breaking her leg in a gofer hole, we think. We opted to do the surgery, as she was only 4 years old at that time, but she was so full of energy and would not lie still, her recovery was long. Then in October 2019, we noticed she was not herself. Not running around, not eating or drinking and with sadness in her eyes. After 3 weeks when it became obvious she was not improving, we took her to a vet. We weren't going through a big surgery if that needed to be done. The vet could not figure out anything, no obvious signs of trauma or broken bones, aside a low platelet count which could be the sign of a tumor. We opted to go home and watch. She improved for a couple days but it became obvious to us that she had given up and mobility was now a big issue. We made the difficult decision to put her down and end her pain. It was very difficult. She was only 7 and our last tie to Daniel. We made the arrangements and took the last ride to the vet. This vet was more curious about what led to the decision and she looked Dakota over very carefully to determine she had a broken pelvis. Surgery would be an option or treat medically and limit motion. I knew neither was an option. Looking at Dakota that last time told me she had no life left and she went with the vet to join Daniel. Nov 10, 2019. Hardest thing I have had to do....Play hard, Dakota, with your Daddy.

The final chapter

April 7, 2014

He completed his first year apprentice training in Prince Albert in 2013. Once done this, his company took on a contract in Redvers which meant he would travel out of town on Monday and return Thursday. The distance was hard on everyone.
Jaimie and Daniel got engaged at Christmas time in 2012. They would wait to get married until 2015 when they were further along in their careers. They moved back to the farm in March 2013 and loved the freedom and shared in the dream of what the farm would become. Dakota came into their lives in March of that year. She was a 6 month old lab-newfoundlander cross, so a big girl. She became daddy's little girl very quickly. They also had their 2 cats living in the house, Maci and Malibu. They decided to plan a trip with us to Chicago in Sept 2013, where they were originally going to get engaged. We spent 2 glorious weeks together getting to know this fine young man on a different level. We went to an NFL game, 3 baseball games, and an NHL game. We walked many miles and saw many sites we will remember forever.
When Daniel came home, he had to do another short stint out in Redvers. Then he came home and thought he wouldn't have to travel any more. He was accepted for the 2nd level apprenticeship in Prince Albert May 5. The company took on a job in Weyburn which meant driving there and back each night but at least he would be home each night with Jaimie.
On March 24, 2014 however, he didn't make it home. The roads on the highway became glazed with ice and the truck he and 3 colleagues were riding in colided head on with another truck. This was near Sedley. We were made aware there was an accident on the highway shortly after supper but unaware that Daniel was involved. About an hour later, Jaimie phoned to ask if Daniel was home because she couldn't get him on the phone. We had not seen him and his car was not home. She indicated she had a terrible feeling since hearing about the accident.

The girl in his life

April 7, 2014

Daniel met Jaimie Polsom while working at Grainfields Restaurant. She saw something in Daniel that we all did. The love and caring young man that was being overshadowed by his bad behavior. She began to see him more and more and his behavior began to change as well. He was more responsible, smiling more, respecting more and valuing their relationship. There were several mornings that I would go down to wake him for work and find Jaimie bopping up to say good morning. Soon they began a life of their own. They moved in together and more beneficial changes were seen by Daniel. He wanted to get his GED so he could persue a better job. He went to school and completed his studies. When he passed his exams, we had the graduation celebration we were all hoping for. A friend of his got him a job at the transportation hub doing hvac. The boss took an instant liking to him treating him like a son. That was what he needed. Someone to have the faith and instill confidence that he could succeed at anything he put his mind to. When this job ended, the boss refered him to an electrical company and there began his journey toward becoming an electrician. Jaimie and he were getting closer and closer and we could see the love between them was genuine and deep.
