Daniel Lewis was born July 27, 1956 in Meriwether County to the late John Henry and Annie Ruth McGhee.  He departed his life December 17, 2014.  He accepted Jesus as his personal savior at an early age and joined Mt. Perria Baptist Church.  He was a Hogansville High School graduate where he was a football player.  

He was united holy matrimony to Lisa Ogletree.  

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Lisa McGhee; three children, Tesa Ogletree, Montavious Ogletree, Favian Gray; three grandchildren, Marquavious, Jadarious, Zi-Karria Ogletree; two sisters, Mattie (Willie) Clemons, Virginia McGhee; six brothers, Charlie Henry (Josephine) McGhee, John Henry (June) McGhee, Joe William (Shirley) McGhee, Willie Henry (Carolyn) McGhee, Willie James (Dorothy) McGhee, Carl Joenathan (Lisa) McGhee; one aunt, Rosa Lee Riches; a special cousin, James McLaughlin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
