When ever I am hiking at Pena Adobe, I think of you. There is a park bench on the hill over looking the lagoon and it reads, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

Daniel, I was deeply saddened by the news of your untimely passing. You have left an emptiness in my heart, for I remember the kindness you showed me in the short time I knew you. I find your love of cats endearing, and I hope you are with your beloved cat, Rabbi. My condolences and prayers to you Jennifer. Daniel, we will miss you so much. You were so kind to all the kittys and people here at kitty city when you came to volunteer. I did not know you for very long, but during the time you visited and helped out here i could tell that you were such a nice caring person. That seems very rare now in such a fast paced world. Daniel, oh Daniel! The battle you fought, the battle you lost, makes my heart bleed. You never knew how much you were truly loved by so many! Your "Western Bank" family truly loved, and believed in you. I think of you every time I make my special hash brown casserole, always made your "vegan" version. Not sure if I will be able to make it again, for a very long time. Your passing took me so much by surprise, I really thought you were going to climb that mountain. I just pray that your soul is at peace now. Those that you left behind will band ever more closely together always loving, and rembering, you; our special friend! Love you like you never knew! Rest in peace, rest in peace.

Daniel was an amazing person who is loved deeply by his friends and others he came into contact with throughout his life. He is very much missed and will always be remembered. He always had a smile on his face and the first person to offer his help in any situation. I am truly glad to have been given the opportunity to call Daniel a friend.

Daniel was a remarkable young man, who was exceptionally kind and incredibly generous to the lives with which he touched. He had a great heart, full of grace, and a tenderness, that surpassed most, toward both animals and other human beings. Special souls, like him, are once in a lifetime and greatly misunderstood in our world. May he find eternal peace within our Heavenly Father's arms and true comfort in knowing how much he was genuinely loved by all who were blessed to have known him in this life. He will be greatly missed.

Daniel was a remarkable young man who never showed me anything but kindness. I can only hope the trouble and pain he experienced in life have all but passed, and that his his soul is at peace. For those left behind, may the void of his sudden and tragic passing be filled with shared memories of the man he was and that the story of his life never cease to be told.

Feeding the Geese

Danny,
Remember the time we went to Pena Adobe to feed the Geese? We were excited, and made sure to grab the good loaf of bread that had the twenty different kinds of seeds because seeds are what birds like...........
When we reached the lagoon there were only a couple of geese and we were a little disappointed, but happy to feed a couple at least.
As you started singing, and waving the bread, more geese began to appear, and suddenly, as if from the scene from the "Birds" at least a hundred or so geese began to waddle quickly towards you, honking, and biting other geese that were making headway. Before we knew it, you were consumed, and not until you left the loaf behind, and ran like bat out of hell and take refuge in the car were we safe. We had a good little chuckle, and watched the geese consume the loaf until it was no more, and only the 3 or 4 remained. Good times, like you use to say. You are always with me, Aunt Kim
