His Life

In The Begining

January 18, 2014

My Dad was adopted as a child by two very loving people, John and lillian langford and lived in Mellor/Blackburn and went to Walton-Le-Dale School, I don't really know too much about this but what i do know is that he was raised on a farm and he truly adored the farm life, Dad used to take me and my three brothers Shane, David and jason to go see Grandad every week, we loved it, Grandad would take us to the shop just across from his bungalow and spoil us with sweets and chocolate and then we would all just sit there watching tom & jerry with him (Grandads favourite cartoon). Lovely memories.

My Dads Get Away! (His Pen/mini farm)

Some of mine, my brothers Shane, David & Jason and Mums memories of Dads pen will be cherished forever i know!  His ducks, rabbits, chickens and geese were but a few of many reasons our memories of Dads pen will stay with us forever, A time i will always remember is when Dad chased a goose with a wire coat hanger that then chased Mum all around the pen, it was so funny! even her scream is still in my head.

There were one particular morning i will always remember, the sun was blazing Dad was going to the pen and i was right behind him, "He was fitting some felt on the roof of one of his sheds that day" i wanted to be involved and so off to work me and Dad went, i was on that roof half the day loving every minute of helping Dad fix his roof, he stayed underneath and made the brews and pottered around while i happily hammered away! it was a very tiring day but a very productive one and one of my most remembered due to the fact that i had helped Dad and the day had ended with a great feeling of success!  TBC.....
