Four years already. We miss you. We think of you all the time.
Tonight we’re going to a rock concert. I know you would approve. We’ve gone to a few rock concerts together throughout the the years. Thanks for those fond memories and for so many more. Thanks for being you.

Its been a year and not a day has passed that I haven't thought of you. Every time Peyton does something hilarious I think about how you would have enjoyed it. I wish for nothing more than for Peyton to grow to have your sense of humour, your patience and more over your calm energy. You have left an imprint on many people's hearts and you are sorrily missed.

David.... your absence has been felt at every holiday, festival and family meal. How I wish Lily had the opportunity to know you. But I am pretty sure you had a hand in getting her here safely. She will know about you through the lessons I learned from you and will pass to her.... kindness, acceptance, laughter and enthusiasm for fun.

I have known Dave for more than two decades and I am a better person because of it. He was a 'step-father' to me. The thought of life without him seems...unbearable. But, he did manage to pass along some very important lessons. He always showed gratitude, he gave back to his community, and he didn't take life too seriously. He loved to have fun, to be silly, and to laugh. Maya Angelou has a really good quote about people never forgetting how you made them feel. Well, thank-you Dave. You made me feel special and important.

Drumheller 2008

Dave thought the museum was pretty neat, but, his favourite memory of the trip to Drumheller was the cafeteria. He loved his meal and spoke of it often, years later. Lol. He still makes me laugh.

Banff 2008

February 12, 2015

We took mom & Dave for a quick trip to the mountains. He always brought fun and silliness.
