You are missed, you are loved.

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, David Paul Begallia who was born on April 16, 1953 and passed away on May 10, 2011. Dave loved comedy movies and comedy in general. He also had a hobby of working on old cars when he was younger. He raced at Seattle International Raceway and loved the outdoors. He would tell story's of how when he was younger he would stay at his family's cabin in Ocean Shores Washington and live off of razor clams. He would take all of us kids to the mountains to shoot guns and still did with his son David until weeks before he passed. Later in his life he became a avid fan of golf and would go out and play often. Dave was a child at heart from collecting and buying toy cars to playing with remote control cars. Dave's favorite most common thing he collected was pockets knifes, he probably didn't know how many he really had. He is someone who could make friends with anyone, and will never be forgotten.
I regret moving so far away from my father, but the times he was able to visit were great!! I smile everytime I think of the huge childish grin he would get when I made deviled eggs for christmas. "Doe Doe Eggs" he would say as he came into the kitchen. :) I remember how he would always fall asleep on the couch right after dinner, no matter how noisy is was. He played video games with the kids and was a kid at heart just as much as them. He even went outside and played with remote control cars down the street with the kids christmas morning. Holidays are going to be tuff....
My father loved to give us children nicknames. David is "Big Man" Joy is "Cotten Topper" and I am "Boogie" I was given this nickname because I would crawl and run around when I was real little and run into coffee tables, walls whatever was in my path. He would laugh so hard when he thought and talked about it, He said I would just boogie around the room. I miss him very much.
