Last Holiday

August 6, 2011

I regret moving so far away from my father, but the times he was able to visit were great!! I smile everytime I think of the huge childish grin he would get when I made deviled eggs for christmas. "Doe Doe Eggs" he would say as he came into the kitchen. :) I remember how he would always fall asleep on the couch right after dinner, no matter how noisy is was. He played video games with the kids and was a kid at heart just as much as them. He even went outside and played with remote control cars down the street with the kids christmas morning.  Holidays are going to be tuff....

Boogie

May 29, 2011

My father loved to give us children nicknames. David is "Big Man" Joy is "Cotten Topper" and I am "Boogie" I was given this nickname because I would crawl and run around when I was real little and run into coffee tables, walls whatever was in my path. He would laugh so hard when he thought and talked about it, He said I would just boogie around the room. I miss him very much.

The Little Things

May 28, 2011

I remember I had this cat it was calico. My mother to this day said that it would go to the bathroom all over. I remember one day it was gone. I was told it ran away, I was so upset I cried and cried in my room. Then the next morning I woke up and my cat was in my bed with me. Now that I am older I know that my parents had dropped it off somewhere. My father had seen that I was so upset and went out and found my cat and brought her back to me.

Seattle International Raceway

May 27, 2011

my father would race at SIR when I was young. He raced a 1973 Vega named "No Mistake" the most I remember on those hot loud days there, was the loud roar of the engines and screaming of the crowds. My friend Christina and I would just run around and wait for the funny cars and the Jolly Rancher Car. We would sit under the bleachers and get all the ones that fell through them, filling our pockets to the brim with jolly ranchers.

family drives

May 27, 2011

We would have weekends where we would routinely go on long drives. We would go up to the mountains and just drive. I remember hating those long car rides most the time I would just sleep. My dad would laugh how I could sleep any way and through anything. Now I love to just go for drives and look at the mountains or snow.

tanwax lake

May 27, 2011

I remember going to fish on the dock at Tanwax Resort when I was young. I would fish with a bobber and my dad would set up my pole for me. We always ate bean dip and ruffles lol now my son loves them also. One time when we were there I was busy playing like usual and not paying any attention to my pole. I was up on the hill as I hear my dad yell for me that I had a fish. The fish had floated across all the other fisherman's lines. I went back there the day after his funeral and it is still the same. It even has the same fish cleaning station.
