My first love
I was floored when I discovered Debbie passed in 2007. I came accross this information on Ancestry.com. Debbie and I were a couple from 1985 to 1988. I met Debbie at club Manhattan the summer of 1985, I was home for the summer from UCF where I was a student athlete. Debbie was the most beautiful lady in the club that night. Once we talked for the first time, we became inseparable. I learned much from my Chinese Jamaican Princess.
Our young love adventures were many, incuding sharing an apartment for a while. I remember her mother Barbara and sister Karen quite well. Karen's freckles and Barbara's home made Ice Cream. Barbara was a fantastic cook and kept a beautiful home. Debbie aspired to be a makeup artist working behind the scenes of movies, TV and the such.
Debbie and I grew apart as our priorities began to shift. I earned my AA degree from MDCC in 1987,I then enrolled at FAMU in Tallahassee January of 1988. We kept in touch for a short while, but soon lost contact. I Earned two more degrees and made Tallahassee my home. The interactions we shared played a major role in my finding myself during young adulthood.
