"Dad, we were back in Michigan on your birthday to take Mom's ashes to her gravesite with you. Twenty-five people attended Mom's service, and we talked a lot about you and Mom to all of your friends in Baroda.  God has been good to Evie and me, and I thank you again for all of your wonderful lessons of love and guidance in my life.  Enjoy your heavenly rest.  I love you,  Bob"

"Dad, It's been four years today since you joined the choirs in heaven.  I can almost hear you singing "He Lives...He Lives," a song you loved so much.  Mom is with you now, so you can sing together some of the old hymns at the actual throne of God.  I miss you but I know you are in a much better place with a new body.  I love you."

"Always remember how Del took me to play on his softball team in Buchanan. I wasn't a very good hitter but I got to pinch run many times. some of the men were good htters but not fast runners. ( Wonder why? ) I was still quite young and thin!"

"Remember Brother Delbert and how hard he and Dorothy worked. First house  in Bridgman had a weedy yard until they bought it. Guess some of Arend garden traits were showing and continued to show all through life. God bless all of you."
