A beautiful memory, dearer than gold,
Of a father whose worth can never be told,
There's a place in my heart no one can fill,
I miss you, Dad, and always will.

Wedding Day

August 8, 2016

On July 15th 1961 you married my mum, the morning was lovely sunny.  A coach was bringing your family from Manchester to Heckmondwike.  By the time it was getting ready to set off the clouds were collecting.  Mum has set out the hall for your reception and then went home for a bath.  By the time she was getting ready it was already raining and the journey across from Manchester was horrendous in fact your mum was petrified.  The weather worsened and by the time mum was ready to leave for the church, it was raining, thundering, lightening and hailing, in fact it threw everything at you.  The weather was so bad that you hardly have any outside photos. But you had a fab day.

Your best man at the reception got everyone dancing and having fun by using a record player.  What a time people had.

You didn't let the weather put a dampener on your special day.  You had your honeymoon in Llandundno.
