The Family requests that you please share your special photo memories of Denice in your lives! Also please add your thoughts and memories for all to share and enjoy!
As I try to move on past 2012 - 2014, it is so difficult. I miss you so much, and love you still, even more. Mostly I am grateful for how you enriched and supported my life and our families life even through the occasional chaos. I and we miss you greatly, but I know 3/5 of the Dellinger Quintet is singing, just like Dad wants, together in Love and in Christ! Love to you all from us all!"
"My Dear Sis,
I miss you so. Not a day goes by without me wanting to call you, ask for a recipe, reminisce some of our favorite memories or even just cry on your shoulder. You were taken way to early in your life. I find comfort in the fact you are cuddling with your beloved Ken and spending joyous times with Mom and Dad. I love you Sis."
"Happy birthday, sis. Miss you so....Love you."
"My Dear Denise, a year has passed so swiftly and I have thought about you almost daily. I miss your smile, I miss your hug, I miss everything about you. Someday not to far in the future we will be together again. Perhaps we will decorate for parties and make a batch of jam. I love you my dear friend. Claud"
""Dear Sis, There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I miss you so. I wish I could call you up and get that family recipe, talk over old memories and make some of our own new ones. I love you Sis.""
"I am still thinking about the impact and influence Denice had in the lives of her family and friends, who are now missing her so much. May God grant peace and his loving support to all of us."
"We are so thankful that this Birthday celebration is one she shares with the saints and angels, in the presence of her Savior. God bless you, you, her dear family. We remember you in our prayers, daily!"
"Happy Birthday my Dear Sis. You are now in the best, loving hands."
"I remember your beautiful smile and sparkling eyes. I was only around 4-5 years old when I first met you. My parents and all my brothers were staying briefly in a cabin in Arrowhead Villas. My mom knew your mom because she would play the organ for Mt Calvary when they needed a substitute. As mom's would in the 1950s, Barb and my mom were talking across the landings of your cabin and the one we were staying in. There I peeked through mom's skirt and saw your beautiful face. I will never forget it.You were my friend forever. Our lives have graciously intertwined through the years. Your gift of beauty always overwhelmed me and made my heart glad. I thank God I knew you. Now you are in the presence of beauty itself. Happy Birthday my friend."
"Denice you are missed by your loving family and friends but pray they are comforted to know you are at peace and free of your pain. So today we celebrate your memory in saying "Happy Birthday" and thank you for the memories."
"Remembering you on your birthday! You are celebrating in heaven with all your precious loved ones. May God be with your family here on earth as they mourn their loss but also celebrate your life and the blessing that you were."
"Happy Birthday my friend! We picture you celebrating with Kenny, Jonathan and your folks and miss you terribly. We celebrated you together on Saturday with tears, laughter and love. I hope you heard us all and know how much you enriched all our lives. I reached for the phone yesterday to call you but then just looked out and hope you heard me."
"WE ARE REMEMBERING THE FAMILY YOU LEFT BEHIND IN PRAYER AS I KNOW THEY MISS YOU A LOT"
"Miss you sis. Happy birthday in heaven with your loves."
"I loved the Family and she was always smiles. Remembering the best times. So sad so young God Bless!"
"I am thankful I knew Denice, she brightened my life just to be in her presence. God be with you. Hugs Janet"
"Denice, It was an honor to met you, I thank you for all the lessons you showed me and all the smiles and great wisdom you gave me you will always be in my heart. RIP"
"My dear friend... So many fun great memories of our friendship together attending Rim. Seeing you at your Dads service was so wonderful ! I will always remember our forever long hug!
May you be forever blessed in our Fathers arms in heaven. Missing you so!"
"I miss you so my dear, sweet, sister. I know that we are all comforted that you are finally at peace. You fought the hard fight of cancer for so long. Please give our family big hugs from us; Momma, Daddy, husband Ken, son Jon, cousins, grandparents, and friends. Hopefully you are all bringing love, joy, and music to all above. I love you Sweetie."
"Dee. You were married to my bro and I miss him a lot. Now you can be with him. The last month of your life was very difficult for you. You had a lot happen to you. Losing a son, father; all the "chemo" facing you and doing it alone. That is not an easy thing to go through. Now you can R.I.P. Say "Hi" to my Bro. I think of him often. And if you should meet up with the "love of my life"- Dan, say Hi to him also. I am to "onery" to see anyone soon. GOD has a reason for that!!!"
"Denise, it was such an honor to know you. I will always remember your awesome smile and infectious spirit. Rest well my friend."
"The whole Dellinger family has been family to Jim and I throughout many years. I remember Denice as always helpful and graceous at family milestones. In her own tribulations she displayed such strength. Denice will be missed by many but we can rejoice as she is with our Lord and Savior whom she loved dearly. May God's blessings continue to shower over the Dellinger family. All our love. Jim & Diane"
"Dee as we always knew her almost always had a smile on her face that came from a big heart. She would make anyone she came in contact with smile too. She will be missed by many.I hope to meet more people that were as lovely a person as Dee. May you rest in peace...friend. Howard and Liz Kranson"
"What a beautiful smile and heart Denice had. I can only imagine how big her smile is now, being held by her God and Savior.
For those she left behind, we pray for comfort and joy for your broken hearts."
"Dearest Dee, You will be missed by so many friends that loved you. We had such good times playing "Bunco" for close to 15 years. The parties at your house were always so special and you made all of us feel so welcomed. I will always remember your contagious laugh and your wonderful smile. Your light will continue to shine.
"Alan and Barb and Becky, life takes so many turns. I can still hear the off-key Christmas carols and hymns during our years as kids at Mt. Calvary, with your mom leading the children's Christmas programs. She was a saint to put up with us all. And there was Denise, smiling, beautiful, and singing away.
Now, she is home with Jesus. All of our formative years together, the Eatons and the Dellingers, sharing the joys, sorrows, trials, and triumphs of life in the mountains, watching the community grow and change, are fading memories. Yet, the ways Denise made life so much fun, and in many ways, so meaningful won't be forgotten. I look forward to rejoicing with her around God's throne. Blessings to you all. -Chris"
"I could not have imagined my life without her in it. For 36 years we shared so much so the memories of best friends and life experiences together will help to fill the big hole in my heart. She's somewhere on my shoulder whispering in my ear, or scolding me for one thing or another. She is missed every day. Her parting gift to me was to write about her and it helps keep her close. I think she knew it would all along. I miss you my friend."
"I met Dee and Ken when I built my pool back in '98. I trusted them without question or referrals. Amazing job, amazing people. Dee and I shared a very special bond..adoption. They say that people are in each others lives for a purpose. I was able to share how to find her child which made her life complete. I moved from Vegas in '01 and lost contact other than the usual holiday cards. I missed her friendship this past decade, but the bond and memories will last forever. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was loved by all. Rest in peace."
"I was fortunate to have known Dee when I was a teenager; she was a wonderful Mentor ...she trusted me to watch over both John and Julie/Jewel when they were small. She had a spirit and strength that I truly admired and respected. A loving, loyal friend and Mother...her patience, guidance and kindness, I will always be grateful for and cherish that time in my life."
"To Denice and family - at long last you are at peace - all trials are behind. I am so thankful that I knew you - briefly - but I treasure those few times. You will be missed but there are memories which are forever. You are resting in the arms of Jesus -"
"Dear Denice, We've only visited briefly at Grace a few times and yet I got a glimpse of your gentle but strong heart and your love and trust in Jesus. You've been in my thoughts and prayers through the many storms of life these past several years. Thank God you now have put all that away and do have the joy of Life always and forever."
"Rest in peace my friend. May your smile and spirit live on in your precious River.....XO"
"What a sweet lady she was! It was always a joy to see her. I remember her singing in one of your dad's shows at Mt. San Jacinto College. May you all be comforted in your sorrow!"
"Although we didn't know Denice, our thoughts and prayers are with you, Alan and Barb. I pray you will be comforted by our Lord's promise that He has prepared a place for her, and that now she knows the wonder and joy of the promise fulfilled. God grant you peace.
Pastor John and Sandra Scharlemann"
"We only briefly knew Denice and that through the rest of the family. Denice carried great credentials through them as well as her own relationship with the dear Lord and Savior. Join the heavenly choir, the Lord is a lover of music."
"Denice we will all miss you ,You are a kind loving person and loved by many especially your Rim High Family Class of 70 . RIP Denice now go fly with the Angles ! Loveyou <3"
"It was my high honor to come to know this dear lady. We met through her brother, Allan. As Allan and Barbara's pastor and family, coming to know Denice (and Ken), and her parents, Dean and Barbara is a privilege I cherish. We can only imagine the kind of heavenly sounds and joyous tunes being played and sung now.
Truly, the Lord has His hand upon this family. What we have celebrated before remains our great strength and joy - the Righteousness of Christ which is Denice's robe. She is a gift given to us, and now she is home - where pain and loss are not even a memory. To her dear family, we pray the full peace of Christ to embrace and to keep you. We love you all. She was and remains, a true treasure, a gift from our God. All our Love in Christ - Pastor Eric and Kawai (Grace Lutheran, Rialto)"
"My DEAREST high school friend. What can I say except I miss you so much. :( After finally getting back in touch after missing decades because of life's situations, this last 6 years has been so precious. Our times together with Kory on guitar and you and I singing our songs (ie: Beach Boys to Elton, Doors, & House of Rising Sun, etc) was the most fun and so healing. Taking us all back to happy exciting days of youth ie: summers at San Moritz, school dances, spiking the punch, doing somersaults on the golf course,, goofing off in class, glee & choir, and ALWAYS loving and supporting each other!! No matter what.
I am so grateful that I was called and privileged to spend the last 24 hours of life with you my dear sister in life; with Jewel, Claudia, Adrea, and then getting to sing and play keys to you in the hospital was so precious and a blessing for me- and as I worshipped Him, you were receiving and unbeknownst to me, getting ready for your final flight! And then, within minutes after Jewel made sure you were in your own home all comfy and full of peace, you left us. Suddenly, like an angel who could finally relax her beautiful wings and rest in the arms of her Father, you flew away. I will always thank our precious Jesus for that opportunity and just wish I had known how quickly you would leave us and run into Jesus and Kenny's arms. My dearest friend, I love and miss you till we meet again, Love, DeeDee (Enloe)"
"Our thoughts and prayers for your family. I remember Denise's beautiful smile and her kind ways."
"Our caring thoughts and are with the family."
"She seem like a really cool person. May she Rest in peace ."
"I remember Denice in high school, always friendly to everyone, kind and considerate. Your Rim High family will miss you.
Deepest sympathy to your family."
"Denice, may you soar with the angels. I am honored that I have had the pleasure of knowing you and your dear family.
"My Dear Denice, you meant so much to so many! Who would have thought that through a group who met with their doodle dogs, I would have met my closest friend :) I may have been your daughter's age, but it surely didn't matter. We had our dogs, photography, music and the love of laughter in common. I will miss you forever and remember our special days, doodle parties and outings with love."
"Every day when pI awaken and every night when I'm ready to go to bed, I miss my "little friend" Denise. Sometimes I cry and other times I smile. She is with me almost every minute of my day. I find myself praying for her, thankful she is no longer in misery and pain. She fought so hard to beat this terrible affliction, all she wanted was to be with her beloved Grandson River and daughter Jewel.
I can still remember laughing so hard we would have to sit down, sing together, quite often sounding pretty awful, as she played the piano.
No one could put together a party like Dee including the catering. She was talented in many ways, painting, cooking, canning fruits, jelly and jams.
I know she is in a better place, holding hands and watching sunsets with her Sweetheart Kenny. How awesome it must have been to have been greeted by her Mom, Dad and Son at Heavens Gate. I can imagine the sounds of her singing and laughing.
Until we meet again, be happy my "little friend"."
"Denice, You will be missed by so many." GO REST HIGH ON OUR MOUNTAIN" I know the angles and your father are waiting for your sweet voice. R.I.P. Your friend Jack"
"I'm very saddened by the loss of Denice, but in a strange sense am relieved she is no longer suffering and is with the rest of her family in heaven. Denice had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. The world would be a whole lot beter if there were more like her around. She would host our doodle parties, help with the annual doodle romp, and give it personalized touches. Lots of heartfelt work making dog scarff's, blankets, gift baskets. All done with love and encouragement and good instructions to us rookies who needed much guidance. I have a constant reminder of the love of doodles and pools since Kenny designed and built our pool always keeping in mind it was built for the dogs. Denice was the expert landscaper and designer of my yard and I've got some of her favorite plants and flowers here to remind me of her. She will be missed. I regret that I cannot come as I will be out of town."
