Her Life

Joyous Memory

January 7, 2015

Denice clung to memories of her family gone before her with intense emotion.  Her passion was to create memories for us all, whether it be through a pool party, a handmade gift, a song, a meal, or her beautiful smile.

This passion continued these last couple of years while she took care of Ken, and while she fought for her life.  She had her sight on the future; she never gave up, and she never lost her faith.

Denice was always quick to shed a tear, whether the occasion was happy or not.  So, as you relive your memories of Denice, go ahead and let them flow...in her honor.

Denice was greeted in heaven by her beloved Kenny, her grandparents, her parents, and son, Jon.  She leaves behind her daughter, Amy and family; daughter, Jewel and grandson, River; and, step-daughters, Rochelle and Danielle and their families;  brother, Allan, and sister, Becky, and families; and, many, many friends.

Friend...

Denice continued her lifelong love of music when she joined the choir at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, where she had many friends.

She especially enjoyed her Red Hat sisters and the fun they had together; and, of course, her Doodle group.

Wife, Mother, Grandmother....

Denice was a mother of three: Amy, Jewel, and Jonathon; and step-mother to Rochelle and Danielle. She also adored her seven grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments.

To fill the empty nest after the children were grown and on their own, Denice and Ken decided to adopt.....two 4-legged babies, Coco and Bree.  Denice quickly became involved with the local Labradoodle group and helped with many of the club's events.

Denice, and husband Ken, were owners of Water Creations for many years and built numerous pools in the Las Vegas area.  They loved being able to see their creative designs come to fruition and the enjoyment they gave their clients.

Daughter, sister.....

Denice Re' Dellinger was born to Dean and Barbara Dellinger in Lincoln, Nebraska; their first child. She was a beautiful little girl with sparkling eyes, a sweet smile, and "Shirley Temple" ringlets.  'Nicee later became a big sister to her brother, Allan, and then, sister, Becky.

The family moved to California in 1956 when Dean got a teaching job in the Lake Arrowhead area.  Denice attended schools in the Rim of the World District from kindergarten through high school graduation. She participated in the music programs and was a Song Leader at Rim High where she had many friends; friendships that lasted a lifetime.

After graduation, Denice attended San Diego State University on a music scholarship.
