Denise exemplified love in her life daily. God loves each of us in a special way that is unconditional. Denise understood God's unconditional love because she also loved everyone unconditionally. She will always be loved and missed. Love forever y,our cousin and Godmother Theresa Tart Simmons

Our prayers  will continue to be with all of the family. May the memories of Denise comfort you during this time. She was truly a person who accepted others for who they were and not what she wanted them to be. I'll miss her dearly.

Thank you God....

For pretending not to notice that one of your angels is missing and for lending her to me. You must have known how much I would need her, so you turned your head for a minute and allowed her to slip away to me. Sometimes I wonder what special name you had for her. I call her "Denise." To think of not having her with me anymore is so unbearable. I don't know what I would have done without her all these years. She has loved me without reservation, whether I deserved to be loved or not. Willingly and happily, she has fed me and others, encouraged me, inspired me, and with her own special brand of gentleness never even once reprimanded me, not even once.

A bit of Heaven's own brown, her eyes reflect hope and love for her family. She has tried to instill that love in others, especially her five children and her nine plus/minus grand kids . She was not the least bit afraid of work. With her constant scrubbing, washing, diapering, and fixing food; she has made the house she lived in a full of love. When I was confused, she sets me straight. She knew what matters and what didn't... what to hold onto and what to let go of.

You have given her a million dollars worth of love. She gave it away freely but never seemed to run low. Even before I am aware I have a need, she is making plans and working to supply it. You gave her great patience. She is the best listener I have met. With understanding and determination she always seems to turn a calamity into some kind of success. She urges me to carry my own load in life but is always close by when needed her or I stumble and fall.

She hurt when others hurt. She cries when other cry. And she will not be happy until she has seen a smile on our face once more. God, please thank the other angels for filling in for her while she is away. I know it hasn't been easy. Her shoes would be hard to fill. She has to be one of your GREATEST MIRACLES God, and I want to thank you for lending my niece “Denise” to me.

 Building a Legacy of Memories

July 17, 2014

When someone we love dies, we miss them terribly. There is a hole in our heart which it seems nothing can fill, except our memories. Memories can reside in your heart, giving comfort and easing your sorrow.

Memories are a true gift to us in the dark days after a loss. Even years later, our memories enrich our lives, cause us to smile over some memory. “No matter how long we exist, we have our memories. Points in time which time itself cannot erase. Suffering may distort my backward glances, but even to suffering, some memories will yield nothing of their beauty or their splendor. Rather they remain as hard as gems.” by Anne Rice

When Facebook first begin, I remember Denise and I discussed pet names, or our alternate personalities name and our wishful thinking names.. I always wanted to be called “Isabella” and she always wanted to be “Scarlett” (from Gone with the Wind). Other times, I want to be “IZZY” and Denise wanted to be called “RED.” Theses things I remember and when I think of us plotting and planning our attacks on unsuspecting men from some dating service, I smile. I am missing you everyday Denise.. I love you forever.

In Perfect Peace

July 5, 2014

How does one tell a life story. I suppose by remembering tidbits of our past.

I remember back in 1981 that I (my famly; my children J.D.P., Duane, Z

and Don took you, your mom, Rosie Wyer and your brother,Brain Wyer, at Knott's Berry Farm, Buena Park, Yosemite Park Lodges |

at the NationalParkReservations.com- You were about 11 years old. It was so cold, as cold in July as it is in Alaska.

Oh, so cold, until we had to wear coats on even at 12:00 noon. This is just one memory of many we shared. The comedy came when I told Rose "there are bears and racoons that come into camp if they smell food." I scared your mom so much until she scrubbed everything with soap and bleach water.. You all should have seen her scrubbing and sweeping after every meal. I sly laughed. But it was true bears did frequent the camp site at night..LOL I will write more our other adventures later. And there are many..
