A native of Brooklyn, NY., Dennis is the son of Mrs. Ann Neverson Denson and the late Willie Lee Denson.

He was employed as a mechanic with In and Out Tires of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Baptist in faith. He was a member of the Blue Gorillas Skating Club. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dana Denson.

Surviving other than his mother are his children, D.J. Denson and Leandra Denson; a brother, Derron Denson(Nicole); two sisters, Denise Denson and Danette Powell(Grady, Jr); nieces and nephews: Darkeesha Foster, Jelani Lowe, Gyssel Danzine, Grady Powell III and Deidre Denson; aunts and uncles, Sadie Chandler(Henry), Bernice Neverson, Bernard Neverson, Booker T. Neverson, Linwood Neverson(Louise), Preston Neverson(Antionette), James Neverson(Doris), Archie Denson and Mary Smith; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
