The son of Ivary Robinson Tanniehill (Randy) of Columbus and Darrin Bellamy, Sr. (Bernadette), Denzell was a Columbus native and received his primary education in Muscogee County Schools. He attended Fort Middle School where he was a star basketball player and had considered himself a "MVP". He was 2009 graduate of Shaw High School and obtained a Business degree from Columbus Technical College. He was employed with Green Island Country Club for over 5 years. Denzell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmie and Anna Robinson, Jr., and Rosa Lee Bellamy.

Survivors other than his parents, include: three brothers, Darrin Bellamy, Jr., Dezmon Bellamy (Jennifer) and Detrick Bellamy; his grandfather, Mr. A. C. Bellamy, Jr.; two aunts, Donna Smith (Louis) and Sorina Clark (Lionel); three uncles, Edwin Kelly, Jimmy Robinson, Jr. (Chavala) and Patrick Bellamy; a fiance', Ashley King; loving nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
