Dep was like a second father to me. He was my father's best friend. Dep stayed with my daddy to the very end of his battle with cancer, refusing to leave his side. Dep even had us move a twin bed into daddy's room so he could be close. They lived together the last year's of my dad's life, they were both blind plus Dep was deaf. They loved working on small engines, lawnmowers, washing machines, dryers. They were called on alot to fix things for people & they loved doing it. Dep was always willing to help whether fixing mechanical things, helping financially or just giving good wise advice on life's problems. I used to cook for them or run errands for them. Dep loved his sweets & peanut butter lol. I dearly loved Deppon Hamby & I will miss him so much.
