Devon was the most amazing boy. Born 7lbs 1oz 19.5 inches long at 3:05pm in West Branch Michigan on November 1, 2002 to parents Shauna Smith and Danny Morrison, and big brother Scott Smith.

For 10 (almost 11) years he blessed his family with the most wonderful of memories. He was unique to say the least. Devon was.. Devon. He was goofy,and fearless and loving, and so full of energy and life. He enjoyed ALL things "boy". He liked monster trucks and cool cars. Being dirty and enjoying nature. He loved sports; baseball, golf, bowling. Most of all he loved fishing. Fishing was his passion.

On September 14th 2013 his love and passion for fishing ended his life when fell into the Flat River and drowned. He was missing for 2 full days before he was recovered from the river on Monday September 16,2013 not far from where he fell in.

During these 2 days we watched as an entire community showed their love for Devon. The amount of support of everyone out looking for him, praying for a different outcome was incredibly overwhelming. Devon touched the lives of so many people, more than we ever knew.

Devon was laid to rest in Crestview Cemetery in Houghton Lake Michigan on September 20, 2013. There he is with many family from his mothers side, and close to where his father still lives.
