Her Life
November 14, 2013

Diane went to the Arey Country Day School when she was little. Our Cousin Mrs. Barbara Arey was the owner and teacher, and my mother drove the school bus van. Every day at some point my mother would look in the classroom and would see Diane standing in the corner looking to my mother to get her out of trouble. Diane always seemed to find a way to do something wrong to get herself put in the corner just about every day. As adults we use to talk about and reminisce about her days in the corner and laugh till we cried. This is one of the memories I will always have.

Diane ran track for the Dutile School in Billerica and was very good, she ran cross country. At the Billerica Elks outings she would always win the 50 yard dash. She also played basketball for the Dutile and for the Marshall Middle School’s in Billerica. She also coached her daughter’s team.

As a child Diane hated hats. My mother would put her hat on before she went out the door to walk to school and as soon as Diane was around the corner and out of eye sight she would rip the hat off her head. However there was this one hat that she loved it was a white faux fur hat, but that was when she was a bit younger.
